Benjamin Nichols Obituary
ITHACA - Benjamin Nichols, 87, Professor Emeritus at Cornell University and former Ithaca Mayor, died Saturday, November 24, 2007, at the Cayuga Medical Center.
A private burial ceremonny will be held today at the Lakeview Cemetery. A public celebration of Ben's life is being planned and will be announced by the Bangs Funeral Home.

My prayers goes out to the Nichols family. I remember Ben the mayor, I found him to be fair, honest and just. Even after he left office he was still dedicated to fighting for the oppressed, and under presented class. It was an honor knowing him. He will be truly missed at GIAC's MLK Breakfast.
