April Hodge Obituary
NEWFIELD - April May Hodge, 33, of 1950 Elmira Rd., Newfield, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 25, 2007.
Born in Elmira on May 14, 1974, April was a daughter of Barton E. Landon Sr., and Juanita Mix Staples.
Family was first and foremost for April. She will be missed dearly by her husband and children, who were her life.
She is survived by her husband, Eric T. Hodge of Newfield; two daughters, Shelby and Erica Hodge of Newfield; a stepdaughter, Aubrie Hodge of Oregon; father and stepmother, Barton E. (Loretta) Landon Sr. of VA; mother and stepfather, Juanita (Tom) Staples of Interlaken; a sister, Johnnie Lee Evans of Ithaca; brothers, Joseph L. Landon of Odessa, Barton E. Landon Jr. of Interlaken, Richard J. Landon of Romulus, David John Landon of Interlaken; a stepbrother, Thomas John Staples of Interlaken; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
April was preceded in death by her son, Russell Hines.
Those who wish to remember April are asked to kindly consider a contribution to the Shelby and Erica Hodge Trust Fund, c/o Cheryl Reynolds at Tompkins Trust Co., P.O. Box 702, Trumansburg, NY 14886.
Family will be present to receive friends at Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South St., Trumansburg, on Wednesday, November 28 from 6-8 p.m. A memorial service, officiated by Rev. Bob Clarke, will be held at the American Legion Post #770 in Trumansburg on Thursday, November 29, at 1 p.m. A reception for family and friends will be held at the Legion following April's memorial service.

Eric, Shelby, and Erica, I am so sorry to hear about April..It has been a couple of years since I saw April last, and I couldn't believe it when I heard the news. I will greatly miss April.
