Mildred Herman Obituary
ITHACA - Mildred "Milly" Herman, 81, who recently moved to Ithaca, NY, from Boca Raton, Florida, died Monday, November 26, 2007, at Longview of Ithaca.
The daughter of the late Yetta and Isidore Levinson, Milly grew up in Manhattan and Coney Island with her sister, Sylvia and brother, Myron (both deceased). She married Eddie Herman (deceased) in 1950, soon afterwards moving to Lindenhurst, Long Island. She is survived by her daughters, Ilene and Maren and their spouses, Rob Armstrong and Bob Seeley.
Prior to her marriage, Milly worked as a bookkeeper for MEM Company and George Jensen department store in Manhattan. Years later she worked as a teachers aide at the Nassau Center for emotionally disturbed children. She was also an active volunteer with Temple Beth AM in Lindenhurst, and more recently with We Care of Century Village of Boca Raton.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Milly's memory may be made to "We Care of Century Village", c/o Alice Tanney, 98 Preston C, Boca Raton, FL 33434. Bangs Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.

God Bless Aunt Millie. She was a warm, wonderful person with a zest for life and a great sense of humor. She had an encyclopedic memory when it came to old movies, loved to discuss current events, listened to the radio and television, and kept herself mentally active and forever young.
She was one of the good ones: not a day goes by when i don't think of wonderful relatives like her, with love and great appreciation.
