Patricia Jamarusty Obituary

PATRICIA H. JAMARUSTY
ITHACA - Patricia H. Jamarusty, 84, of Ithaca, NY, passed away on Monday, December 3, 2007, surrounded by her loving family at Cayuga Medical Center.
She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Joseph F. Jamarusty; her daughter, Pamela A. Hines of Brooktondale; her son, David W. (Karen) Jamarusty of Danby; grandchildren, Gina (Danny) Austin of Brooktondale, Heidi (Chris) Jamarusty-Collins of Brooktondale, Lalena (Mike) Luba of Miami, FL; also great-grandchildren, Ashley, Alicia, Dylan, and Danny Austin, T.J., Joel, Tracey, and Kyle Maloney-Jamarusty, Samantha Collins, and Jake Luba; also many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Patricia was born on February 9, 1923, the daughter of the late Olga Cicchetti Caroca and Biagio Caroca, and was also predeceased by her brother, Joseph L. Caroca.
Patricia took great pride in her family and taught them all meaningful values that they will carry in their hearts always. She lived a life full of courage, humor, patience, and openness, and had a beauty no camera could capture. She was a strong and supportive member of the Jamarusty family, and every aspect of her life was filled with love and kindness. She was the first to offer a shoulder in times of need and made everyone around her feel secure and protected. Her positive attitude, extraordinary love for others, and willingness to help those in need portrayed her as a saint in the eyes of many.
She had a certain wisdom and grace about her that made visitors never want to leave. Her cheery smile could illuminate any room and she saw only what was good and true and beautiful in every person she met. She treasured the memories she made with family and dear friends, and the wonderful years she spent with her husband, Joe. They spent many years together in Florida where they enjoyed the company of many friends and the different adventures it had to offer. The two of them spent 65 amazing years together and made so many treasured memories.
Patricia will be greatly missed; she will remain in our hearts and memories forever.
Private family services will be held Wednesday, December 5, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at Bangs Funeral Home with Rev. Timothy Dean officiating. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Franziska Racker Centers, 3226 Wilkins Road, Ithaca, New York.

Dear "Uncle" Joe and Family,
We had no idea of Pat's passing. We are so sorry for your loss. She was a great lady and always had a smile no mater how she felt. You and Pat were so caring of my Uncle Clarence in his last years. I want to thank you both for that. God bless and be with you and your family as you go through this holiday season.

Dear Joe and family,
We are so sorry to hear of Pat's passing. Both my mother, Betty Miller, and father, Bob Gombash, told me what a nice lady Pat was all through the years. We remember her friendly smile whenever we happened to cross paths, and can only imagine how much you will all miss her.
Our thoughts are with you all at this terribly sad time. I (Gay) will always consider myself a "Fall Creeker" and remember the Jamarusty family from way back then!
Sincerely,

Brenda (Jamarusty) Bull
