James Baker Obituary
Born in New York City, N.Y., he was a son of the late Emil and Ann (Aikins) Baker.
Mr. Baker was a self-employed grain distributor and was also employed at Foster Pump, Bradford Dyeing Association and the former Warner Bros. He enjoyed farming.
He leaves two sons, Donald Baker of San Diego, Calif., and Russell Baker and his wife Deborah of Hope Valley; one daughter, Judith Scully of Stonington; and seven grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a grandson, James Scully Jr.
Calling hours will be held Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service to be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Pius X Church, 45 Elm St., Westerly. There is no procession from the funeral home to the church.
Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery, Pawcatuck.

The death of Mr Baker has left a hole in my life that can never be filled. He disaplined me and taught me to stand up for the things I believed in. I consider myself blessed to have had him in my life for so short a time. I am & always will be thinking of him. God Bless You and keep you, sir. May the Almighty make His face shine upon you. May you rest in peace.

My deepest sympathy to Russ and Judy for their loss. You're in our prayers. James will be greatly missed by all of us. I'll never forget the look in his eyes when he held his grandchildren for the first time.
