Frank J. Sposato

Frank J. Sposato, 79, husband of Eleanor "Ellie" (Coletti) Sposato of 183 Case St., Norwich, died Friday afternoon, Aug. 8, 2008, at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital in New London.
Born in Westerly on April 1, 1929, he was the son of the late Anthony and Bomina (Bruno) Sposato.
A veteran of the Korean Conflict with the U.S. Air Force, he was honorably discharged with the rank of staff sergeant. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a facilities assigner with Southern New England Telephone Co.
On April 12, 1958, at the Cathedral of St. Patrick, he was united in marriage to Eleanor (Coletti) Sposato, who survives.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one brother, Lee Sposato of Westerly; three sisters, Rose Limanni and Minnie Roberts, both of Westerly, and Nellie Riley of Pawcatuck, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph and Samuel Sposato; and two sisters, Rosann Clark and Ann Sposato.
Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Labenski Funeral Home, 107 Boswell Ave., Norwich, where the funeral will assemble on Wednesday at noon and proceed to a Mass of Christian Burial at the Cathedral of St. Patrick at 1 p.m. Interment to follow with military honors in St. Joseph Cemetery.
