Julia Longo Obituary

Julia (Rescigno) Longo, 97, of Marie Avenue, Pawcatuck, died Sept. 13, 2008, in the Westerly Health Center, Westerly. She was the widow of the late Frank Longo.
Born in Westerly, she was a daughter of the late Biaggio Rescigno and Angelina (Gentile) Faitani
Mrs. Longo had been employed as a machine operator at the George C. Moore Co. for more than 30 years.
She was a communicant of St. Michael the Archangel Church, and she enjoyed walking. She had walked to work for years.
Surviving are her brother, Joseph Faitani of Westerly; and nine nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by three brothers, Enrico Rescigno, Lawrence Faitani and John Faitani; and by two sisters, Clara Blennau and Elvira BelBruno.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Liturgy, to be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Michael the Archangel Church, 60 Liberty St., Pawcatuck There is no procession from the funeral home to the church.
Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery, Pawcatuck.
