Harriett Buck Obituary
Born in Plainfield, Conn., on Sept. 14, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Amelia (Miller) Vars.
Mrs. Buck had worked at several local textile mills. She was a communicant of St. Michael Church in Pawcatuck.
She will be sadly missed by her children, Joseph A. Buck of Groton, Harriett Lessing of Ashaway, Ethel Montgomery of Westerly and Joyce Ann Buck of Plainfield. She also leaves 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in the Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main St., Westerly. A calling hour will precede the service from 10 to 11 a.m.. Burial will be in First Hopkinton Cemetery.

To My Great Aunt Hattie's Family,
Although I am older now yet I still remember my memories of my great grandmother's (Anabelle Knowles (Vars) sister Hattie they looked so alike. You all Have been Kept in my thoughts throughout the years my heart is saddened by the news of this great loss. The whole family has you all in there prayers during this time. Bless you all

This world has lost
A golden light,
A woman so strong

I will miss you so much, and I will never forget the precious times that we shared. You are one in a million, and each time I see a star shining brightly, I will think of you and say a silent prayer. Rest in peace, sweet lady, until we meet again...I love you.
