just as you two are the sole remaining children of uncle Angelo&aunt Peppine, my brother Mike & I are the lone survivors of Peter& Rose (Paterno) Cofone.

I have so many memories of Uncle Putt, he was always a part of my life. Growing up with Aunt Theresa and shuttling me back and forth, then in adulthood when I moved in with my friends to the apartment below-dinner was always there if we needed it! Finally, even after marriage we moved back in to the apartment below! There were so many fun times with Aunt Theresa teaching me to cook, Uncle Putt getting me unstuck in the driveway, and more.He was a kind man with a heart of gold, and infinite patience (with me!). I am quite sure he was met at the "gate" by my parents, and all his loved ones. We have all become better persons for having loved Uncle Putt. MaryJo

Joyce, Bobby and Family
we will certainly miss Uncle Putt. You should all be so proud of giving his life so much joy. He was surrounded by a loving family and I am sure that is why he lived to be 94! but he is together with your mom and my mom and dad.

Joyce, Bobby, Natalie, and all the rest of the family and grandchildren....I am almost at a loss for words. When Ro told me that Uncle Putt had passed away, I got the biggest lump in my throat. Maybe it was because he was the last connection to my own mom and dad, maybe because every time I saw him he seemed like he would live forever despite his age, maybe because it just caught me off guard.

I had a tough time falling asleep last night as I was trying to conjure up old memories and once they started flooding my mind, it was hard to turn them off. I didn't want to shut them down. One memory kept popping up: I was no more than 18 or 19, finishing my weekly chore of cutting the grass at Edna's next door, when I'd hear Aunt Theresa calling for me to stop by when I had finished. I'd end up staying there until supper (and more often than not they'd insist on me having supper with them....actually they wouldn't even ask--Aunt Theresa would just set an extra plate!). We'd talk about EVERYTHING from school to work to driving a car (Uncle Putt always had a "tip" for me concerning driving). I have probably forgotten more than I have remembered in my 49 years on this Earth, but those times are crystal clear to me to this day, and those are the memories I'll cherish.

I know I speak for my brother and sisters when I say that Uncle Putt had a good long life and we should all be grateful for that. He will be missed as dearly as all those who have passed in our family, but keep in mind, he's only a memory away.

God Bless, Uncle Putt. Say "hi" to everyone for us.
