Patricia Kastler Obituary
Patricia Anne Kastler passed away peacefully in her home on February 9, 2006, at the age of 80 with her special partner, Marcy the wiener dog, by her side.
Pat was born on November 11, 1925, to Florence and Paul Turgeon in Minnesota. She married Wayne Kastler and they raised their family of five in Shively, CA. Later in life she met, Joe Zanone where they resided in Ferndale, CA, for sometime. Pat had a special place in her heart for Joe’s grandchildren, Joe Zanone Jr. and Matt Zanone, as she watched them grow into adults and raise their own families.
Pat was preceded in death by her late husband, Wayne Kastler; her beloved companion and sole mate, Joe Zanone; and her beloved son, Mike Kastler.
Pat is survived by her daughters, Diane Hall and husband Don, Susan Fraser and Grant Dorsey, Denise Davis, Julie Morris and husband Kevin; grandchildren, Tina Kastler, Kevin Kastler, Jeanine Hall, Brian Hall and wife Sheila, Jessica Simpson and husband Matt, Lindsay Fraser, Ashley Fraser, Ruby Brackenberry, Angie Senestraro and husband Greg, Jeff Paul, Leslie Morris, Kalee Morris; and several great grandchildren.
Pat loved to go to the casinos and bingo with her good friend Ilene, as her favorite pastime. She enjoyed bowling in tournaments with her special friend Ladonna. She really loved and enjoyed her yard and flowers. She also loved to get her large family together for B.B.Q’s, Christmas’ and just to socialize with each other on the phone.
For all the care and the support, a very big "thank you" to our Mom’s doctor, "Rosa" at Redwood Memorial Hospital. A very special "thank you" to Sara Hemminger for all her devoted time and care she put forth for our mother. We couldn’t have done it without you! Thanks also to Hospice of Humboldt, you were great.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Hospice of Humboldt or charity of choice.
At mom’s request, there will not be services held. At a later date, family members will gather at her home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Goble’s Fortuna Mortuary.

I didn't know Pat very well, but she would have us (at The Farm Shop) repair her riding mower sometimes and we all liked her alot. She would sometimes call to get information on what was going on in town, too. She had a wonderful, quick wit and we are all saddened at her passing.
