I remember my uncle Gil to be a man of high caliber, a hard-working man, and had a great family life. I wish I could have known him better....

Mr. Gonzalez was a god-send to my husband and I as we floundered through the Workmen's Comp system. A tireless advocate for his clients, always a smile, and truly talented in his work. We missed his guidance in the last few years, and send our prayers to his family.

I knew Gilbert as an opposing attorney, a fellow claimants' attorney, and finally, as a judge hearing his clients' cases. In all those roles, he was professional, competent and caring. We missed him when he stopped practicing law at the ICA and we miss him now. My thoughts and sympathy are with Gilbert's family at this difficult time.

At the Industrial Commission, Gilbert was known and highly respected for his integrity, compassion, sense of humor, zealous advocacy for his clients, and an even temperament. After Gilbert's retirement from worker's compensation law, I missed having him in my hearings. My deepest sympathy to his family.

Our thoughts and prayers to all the "Gonzalitos". The family always looked up to Gilbert because of his clarity of thought, his accomplishments, and more importantly, his family values. We will remember you always for those qualities as well as that ever present wit and sense of humor!
