Hey,
I heard you for the 1st time last night. Looked you up and checked out all your stuff after that. I thought I've got to take my son to see this guy. He is cool and my son could relate to this type of humor. Then I saw, you have left us already. Well, cool dude, see you on the other side. You are awesome. Much Love!
Wish you were still here on this side. My sympathy to your family and your wife.

Mitch I'm reminded of you through a message sent to me. I remember the first time I seen your show. And how I looked forward to finding you on more. You were hilarious and reading your jokes just now again making me laugh. Sadly I just found out you passed. Truly sank my heart. What a great loss for everyone... so incredibly saddened by finding this out.

Unfortunately, I never had the pleasure of ever meeting Mitch. The first time I saw his work I nearly laughed myself unconscious, from that day forward Mitch's jokes became a staple to my social interactions, he had a way with words and thoughts that were funny, whimzical, and more often than not actually had some deep intelligent meanings. Mitch changed my life, and for that I am forever grateful.
R.I.P. Mitch, I believe you are with Gosh now ;)

Mitch, When you walked on stage it was like welcoming an old friend into your home. Sure, he was going to mess up the kitchen and the living room but it would always be worth it for the laughs. A friend like you is never to be forgotten. Excellent legacy.

Someone in my family quotes at least one Mitchism every day and we still wear our Mitch T Shirts often. I have several of them as do the rest of my family and always get a pleasant comment about Mitch whenever wearing one. Your great sense of humor and hilarious comedy style will live on forever because you are one of a kind. Mary is there with you now. What a great mother you were blessed with.

Mitch,
I know saying you are the funniest person i've ever heard will sort of fall in line with some of these other posts, so instead i'll tell you how you inspire me to not worry too much, to have a laugh at whatever life brings, and to make others smile. I wish with all my heart I could've met you in this life, but with any luck perhaps I can know you in the next. Thank you for being you.

For Mitch...
WEEP NOT FOR ME
Do not weep for me when I no longer dwell among the wonders of the earth; for my larger self is free, and my soul rejoices on the other side of pain...on the other side of darkness.
Do not weep for me, for I am a ray of sunshine that touches your skin, a tropical breeze upon your face, the hush of joy within your heart and the innocence of babes in mothers arms.
I am the hope in a darkened night. And, in your hour of need, I will be there to comfort you. I will share your tears, your joys, your fears, your disappointments and your triumphs.
Do not weep for me, for I am cradled
in the arms of God. I walk with the angels, and hear the music beyond the stars.
Do not weep for me, for I am within you;
I am peace, love, I am a soft wind that caresses the flowers. I am the calm that follows a raging storm. I am an autumns leaf that floats among the garden of God, and I am pure white snow that softly falls upon your hand.
Do not weep for me, for I shall never die, as long as you remember me...
with a smile and a sigh.

Mitch was a truly 1 of a kind soul. He possessed a great talent. The talent to make people laugh. Laughing helps people feel better about themselves.I wished I would've had the pleasure of seeing Mitch, in person. His words will live long on, and because of him, so will my laughter. His words I've shared with all my friends. To his family, I send my deepest sympathies. R.I.P

Always missing you Mitch! You will always be in my heart. Seeing you live when you came to town and seeing the bond you had with your fans made me love you for being so genuine. The world lost an awesome comedian, and an awesome, sincere person. I often think of what new material you had for the June show that I was supposed to go see. What new jokes would've been stained in my mind forever and keep me laughing so hard? I guess I'll never know!xoxoxo Always!

About 2 weeks ago I was watching his special on Comedy Central and couldn't stop laughing, he was so funny. So I went online to see when he would be touring in my area. I was so shocked to find out that he passed away, I actually cried. It's just so sad how all the great ones die so young. I did buy his cds and his christmas ornament. So now I'll always have something to remind me of him and his amazing humor. Mitch you are miss tremendously.

I was just reminding someone today of Mitch's joke about Dr.Acula - one of the best I've ever heard. He was unique and so young. One of my great joys over my life (I'm 62 ) is laughing. I love to do it and I love to make others do it. Mitch had that gift - the world is a much sorrier place without him. I first saw him on Just for Laughs broadcasts and then heard him more recently on Sirius radio. I didn't know we had lost him. Man this stinks!

To the Mr. and Mrs. Arne Hedberg family. You are in my thoughts more than you could imagine. At the funeral last year I saw pictures of Mitch that reminded me of my own childhood here in Saint Paul. Because I am 38 years old, most of the photos look similar to my family's. I cannot imagine the feeling of losing a son and brother. As the years pass by and the these anniversaries continue, please know that there are some people out here who won't forget about those who meant the most to Mitch; his immediate family. Sincerely, Scottie Pakulski, Midway neighborhood, St. Paul.
