John Travers Obituary
John George Travers, age 74, born in Belleville, New Jersey and a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away peacefully after an ardent battle with cancer, on October 17, 2022. Mr. Travers is survived by his wife of four years, Huong Travers; daughter, Jacqueline My Yen Travers; stepsons, Matthew Heitner and Jesse Heitner; sister, Madeline Rawley. A Rosary will be recited Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at 6:30pm at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 11:00am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
Donations in lieu of flowers to New Mexico Commission for the blind, Notre Dame Club of New Mexico, or NAACP of Albuquerque.

Thinking of my friend John today . I taught with him in Zuni , NM. Stayed in close contact with visits , phone calls etc over the years .
John had a good sense of humor , a love of good food and strong feelings on right vs wrong .
We took trips to Durango , Co ... Southern California , Santa Fe ...My wife and I have such fond memories of those times.
Miss ya John . May God bless and protect you. Tom

My name is Tom Cauley. I was a friend of John. We taught together in Zuni in the 1980s. I have kept on close contact with John over the years . He visited me in California and I visited him in Albuquerque. I am so sad to hear that he passed. John was a GREAT man. He was funny , passionate, caring , intelligent.. I could go on and on . I will miss him dearly. Prayers and thoughtful out to his wife and daughter. John will be in my prayers daily . May god bless him .

My condolences to Jack's family. He was a witty, sweet, and genuine friend and person. His smile and his presence in this world will be greatly missed. Jack and I were classmates during law school and suffered through the pre-bar exam reviews together. May he rest in peace.
