I was with him while he was alive and we had many great talks, reminiscences of all his education, travels, etc.
Steve had great intellect and wit. We always enjoyed our times together with lots of laughter. He introduced me to the opera. I had never been to the Santa Fe opera and probably never would have gone otherwise.
He came to Colorado Springs to give me an opinion on a house I was going to buy. When that did not work out, he clued me in on the auction where I found the current house. He helped change radiator hoses on my car and overall has just been there for me the last few years that I've been here. I will miss him greatly.
My regret is that I did not know how ill he had become sooner. It just seems so unfair how life can change in an instant.
