Kenneth Harrower

Kenneth Arthur Harrower, 59, passed away peacefully at his home in Eagle River, Alaska, on Aug. 2, 2016. Kenneth was born in Oxnard, Calif., on Sept. 3, 1956, to Walter and Nancy Harrower. Kenneth moved to Alaska in October 1993, making Eagle River his lifelong home. Kenneth will be laid to rest on Aug. 9, 2016, at 12 p.m., at Fort Richardson National Cemetery with military honors. Kenneth was a retired U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer. He enjoyed gardening, golf and, most importantly, spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, often stating "having grandchildren is highly underrated." Kenneth is survived by his wife, Cynthia Harrower; along with their children, Drew and Melissa Harrower. He is also survived by his mother, Nancy Lois Harrower; sister, Joselynn Dunklee; brothers, Michael and Steve Harrower; and grandchildren, Daxton Harrower, Hayley Harrower, Trenton Harrower and Isabella Ingraham. Arrangements are with Janssen's Eagle River Funeral Home.
