Melissa Schroeder Obituary

Melissa L. Schroeder, 49, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at St. Elias Specialty Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska, on Dec. 7, 2018.
Melissa was born on Oct. 24, 1969, at RAF Lakenheath, England, to Francis H. and Sharon M. Schroeder. She grew up in a military family, but spent most of her life in Alaska, moving here in 1977. She graduated from East Anchorage High School in 1987. She lived in King Salmon, Alaska, for many years. Melissa enjoyed fishing with her dad, painting and crafting with friends.
She is survived by her parents; her sister, Samantha Drews (Christopher); as well as her fiance, Eric Chambers and; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that any donations be made in Melissa's and her fur baby Zareeta's name to Kitty & K-9 Connection, 13140 Midori Drive, Anchorage, AK 99516; 907-345-2096.
