Willow Koerber

Willow LaVar Koerber died at her home in Wasilla at three weeks of age on July 27, 2009, of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. A service will be at 5 p.m. on Tuesday at Alaskan Heritage Memorial Chapel, 1015 S. Check St. in Wasilla, followed immediately by a celebration of life at the Palmer Elks Club. Willow was born to Tamera and Jon Koerber in their home on July 4, 2009. Her family wrote: "Her brilliant eyes and her quiet stillness brightened our hearts and lifted our souls. Willow will be remembered as a strong, calm, beautiful miracle, perfect in every way. Willow was a blessing of peace and innocence, whose life brought an abundance of love and joy to all who knew her. Her presence on this earth will be missed and her memory never forgotten." Willow was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Jack and Donna Graham and Reva Oines; uncle, Charles Allen; and cousin, Jeffery Graham. She is survived by her parents, Tamera and Jon Koerber; brother, Jaxon; grammy and papa, Deena and David Oines; grandmother, Charlotte Nicolet; grandfather, Tim Koerber and his wife Dolly; great-grandparents, Charles Nicolet, Gerry Koerber and Louise Clark; aunt, Kerensa Allen; aunt and uncle, Melody and Richard McManus; aunt and uncle, Tonia and Tim Koerber; uncle, Nick Koerber; special great-uncle, Britt Graham; cousins, Orion, Charlize, Vladimir and Emma; and an extended family of Oineses, Grahams, Koerbers and Nicolets. Arrangements are with Alaskan Heritage Memorial Chapel in Wasilla.
