I just recently learned of Bob's passing. Bob and Gladys were a terrific couple and so wonderful and sweet. Their friendship was treasured from the time Gladys and I were children and continued over the years until she and Bob passed. I am sad for the family but know there are so many sweet, wonderful, loving memories to warm your hearts always.

Robert C. REED was a member of the 551st PIB. On the 01st of September, another Goya bird made his final jump.
My close friend, Claude Orban (care taker of the monument to the 551st PIB in Rochelinval, Belgium) and myself, have proposed to some friends to hold a tribute ceremony in honor of those two GOYAs.

They will never be forgotten. We, the people of the Ardennes (Belgium) will never forget the sacrifices of our liberators.
God bless them all. God bless America.
