Karen Snead Soleman

Karen Snead Soleman passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 11, 2016, at her home after a lengthy battle with cancer. Karen was born in Abingdon, Va. and was a 1971 graduate of Anniston High School. She was a member of Liberty Hill CMC and was employed at Communication Associates. She enjoyed country living, watching the Atlanta Braves, and spending time on her property with her family and fur babies. She will be remembered for her smile, courage and willingness to help others even as she bravely fought her long fight against cancer. Mrs. Soleman is survived by two daughters, Cissy (Lonnie) Soleman, and Sabrina Soleman; six grandchildren, Korie, Parker, Jarred, Kenneth, Spencer and Lane; her soon-to-be-born great-grandson Ryan; a sister, Pamela Slaton, of Alexandria; a brother, Michael (Bonnie) Snead, of Saks; two nephews, Randy Snead and Keith Slaton; her mother-in-law, Ann Soleman, and her fur babies, Dakota and Montana. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jeffrey Soleman, and her parents, Eugene and Gladys Snead. A visitation for Mrs. Soleman will be from 6-8 this evening, June 14, at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank Dr. Aasim Sehbai and the staff of Cancer Care Center of Anniston, the nurses and staff of 4th floor Oncology at RMC, Christy and Rick Harbin and the employees of CA, Pastor Gary Cox and the members of Liberty Hill CMC, and special friends Earle and Bill Flynn.
