Besides band, he was my 9th grade English teacher and taught me how to to properly write a paper. That meant more to me than anything else because he took time to work with me one on one and so many years later I still use what he taught me. Not just knowing how to write a paper but the simple act of kindness.

I remember Alan from my high school days, where he was our bands colorguard instructor. He had such a flair about him and a contagious smile. The news of his passing has spread through his CLHS students (that are now on facebook) and I can say, what amazing comments and memories they all have of him. He is clearly still loved by all of his students... what a wonderful legacy to have.

Alan and I made music together for a long time. He lived with my family and we accepted him as one of our family. His love and compassion for teenagers was fantastic. I considered him a friend and colleague. The world was better for having him here and now he resides with God where I look forward to a reunion with a flag and rifle line in years to come!
I will miss him.

I am so saddened to learn about Alan. He lived with me for a year while teaching together at Cypress Lake in Florida....he made me laugh like no one else I've ever known. He was the first person to learn I was pregnant, was there for the birth of my first two children, and was one of the most special human beings on this planet. His talent and friendship are unequaled.

Alan was a fine example of what a good leader at Walt Disney World should be. He made coming to work each day a joyful experience.
May he rest in peace.

Mr. & Mrs. Casey & Dusty, I am so glad I spoke at length to Alan last month. He use to always tell me I looked just like his doctor growing up and we always had a good laugh over that. We shared so much in the last 6 years and it is hard to beleive he is really gone. He fought a good fight and now it is time for him to rest. We will always remember our days at DRC in Tampa and Orlando. God Bless you all and thank you Alan for making us all look for the good in every situation. With love, Sally & Howard

I don't think I knew a more honest person. Alan, you had the greatest sense of humor. I will always remember how excited you were to get the toy molding thing. You couldn't wait to restore it and show it to your brother. You are spreading cheer in heaven now, with your brother, and heaven hasn't seen anything like you. You have touched so many people. Your family and Dusty can take heart in knowing that you were loved by many. Our thoughts and prayers go out to them. Watch over us and we will meet again.

To Alan's Family and dear companion Dusty, Alan was the dearest, and absolutely the most special person I have ever known. He had a talent for making people fall in love with him. He was funny and so smart. He was my Pathfinder in 2000 and 2001, along with Lucia, and I truly looked forward every day knowing he was there. He was a wonderful human being and such a good friend. He will forever linger in our hearts but dance in Heaven with Jesus. Rest in Peace my dear, sweet friend.

It was my priviledge and a complete honor to know Alan Casey. I always called him Alan C, not so much for Casey but for Class. Alan, you were definitely a Class Act, and the world is a brighter place for having had you in it. Rest in Peace.

Hey Casey family. I truly feel as if I lost my brother. I hope you all know how much I loved Alan. He was so much a part of my survival during college. Even though years would go by, every time I saw him it was as if we had seen each other yesterday. I would love to be with you all. Please know that I am thinking of and praying for you all!
