BARBARA M. SEWELL
AGE: 61 HAZLET
Barbara M. Sewell, 61, of Hazlet passed away on Sunday Aug. 8, 2010 at her home. Born in Jersey City, NJ she resided there until moving to Hazlet 55 years ago. Barbara was a bank officer for the Independence Community Bank in Newark retiring in 2007.
She was predeceased by her father, John Grau. Mrs. Sewell is survived by her beloved husband, William Sewell; her loving daughter, Megan McIlmurray of Hazlet; her devoted mother, Catherine Grau of Holmdel; her dear sisters, Denise Holub of Sarah, MS and Adrian Boardwick of Middletown and her cherished grandson, Aidan.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday 11am at the Day Funeral Home 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ 07735. Friends and relatives may gather 10 to 11am. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Keyport. Visitation will be held Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9pm. For letters of condolence or directions to the funeral home please visit www.dayfuneralhome.com

Dear Bill, Megan & family,

I met Barbara when I worked in United Jersey Bank. She became my mentor and friend. She always had laugh and smile,and was a great person to know.

I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Barbara in my early days in banking when I first got out of college. I didnt know a thing when i first started. She always provided so much guidance and friendship to me. She is one of the reasons I am still in banking today.
