FORREST D. FISHER
AGE: 89 MANCHESTER
Forrest D. Fisher, 89, of Manchester Twp., passed away Friday, October 9, at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born and raised in Idaho Falls, ID, he lived in Philadelphia and Toms River before moving to Manchester Twp. in 1995. He retired from The U.S. Navy in 1959 after 20 years of service, serving during WWII and The Korean War. After retiring from The U.S. Navy, he worked for Lakehurst Engineering Center conducting Aviation Testing for the Navy before retiring in 1979 after 20 years. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve in Lakehurst and The American Legion Post #129 in Toms River.
Mr. Fisher was predeceased by three brothers and four sisters. Surviving are: his wife of 65 years, Sarah, three daughters - Eleanor Breitenbach of Daytona Beach, FL; Virginia Curtis and her husband Gregory of Maryland; and Fritzie Anastasio and her husband Pat of Texas. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday from 7-9PM at "The Family Owned" Carmona-Bolen Home For Funerals 412 Main Street Toms River, NJ 08753. A funeral mass will be held Tuesday 10/13, place and time to be announced. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Toms River. Condolences may be sent to: carmonabolenfh.com
