Jeffrey Hall Obituary

Jeffrey Cletus Hall, Sr.

AGE: 52 • Brielle

Jeffrey Cletus Hall, Sr., 52, of Brielle, passed away at home, with his family by his side on Monday, December 19, 2016.

Born in Long Branch and raised in Highlands, Jeffrey graduated from the University of Vermont with a degree in agriculture. Shortly thereafter, along with his father, he established Essex Farms, a 1000-acre tree farm, along Lake Champlain in Essex, New York. Several years later he relocated to NJ. Working with his family business, he joined Operating Engineers Local 825, and focused his energies on operating heavy equipment. Jeff had a unique talent for handling large equipment as if it was an extension of himself. Jeffrey's career brought him to many varied locations, each with their own unique circumstances and challenges. He was the first one on site of each project, starting the excavation. Some of the notable projects he worked on include The Hoboken Ferry Terminal, the 911 Memorial at Liberty State Park, Kean University, Union Train Station, Giant Stadium Luxury Suites, Essex County Courthouse, the State House in Trenton and numerous school projects and train stations, across the state.

In 1995 he married Sharon (nee Keenan), the love of his life, and established his home in Brielle, and with Sharon raised their two sons.

His father, Conrad, predeceased him in 2007. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Sharon, two sons, Jeff Jr. and Owen, his mother Barbara, Wall Township, and brothers & sisters, Conrad & Christine, Manasquan, Mark and Nancy, Colts Neck, Margaret Mary and Richard Lefebvre, Manasquan, Scott and Dawn, Wall Township, Julie and Frank Lembo, Brielle and three nephews and five nieces.

Jeffrey will be remembered as a loving husband, and a wonderful father. He was particularly proud that his two sons followed in his footsteps achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. Jeffrey was an attentive son to his mother, and a fantastic brother, who would call just to say "What's going on?". He was a long standing Giants fan and the glue that held his friends close together. All that knew him will miss him.

Visitation will take place at O'Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy. 35, Wall, on Thursday, December 22, 2016, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mark's Church, Sea Girt, on Friday, December 23, 2016, at 9:30 AM, followed by entombment at Atlantic View Cemetery, Manasquan. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jeff's memory may be made to the MS Society, 1480 US Highway 9 North, Suite 301, Woodbridge, NJ 07095, or at www.nationalmssociety.org would be appreciated. Hello Margaret, Conrad, Mark and Julie and ALL your spouses....it's a rough thing to go through Christmas without ALL of you sibbies and Sr. being there. Losing Jeffrey at such a young age makes no sense. As time goes by, his memory NEVER fades, nor does the hurt of his loss to each of you, but it DOES get a teeny bit easier as you pass each year's memorial marks. We wish you and all of your family a joyous Christmas and remember the Birth of Our Lord gives us special attention to start anew and much inner peace. May our brother, Jeffrey, rest In the light of our Lord's Universe and may he continue to soar amongst the angels and keep a hand on each of your shoulders, should any of you need him. And we are missing Conrad Sr. VERY much as well. God bless all of you all of the time.
With all our love,
Frank and Donna

MY GOD!

I just wrote a really long letter to you guys, ALL of you guys, and it got wiped out by some computer thing.

We are in DEEP shock to learned that Jeffrey has left this earth. BE ASSURED he is always with us. May Jeffrey be free and shine in the Universe and to keep a hand on each of our shoulders. We will look for signs. Just like it was with Sr. Good Lord, we cannot find any words to console your grief right now but offer you love, strength, wisdom, faith, hope, understanding to comprehend deaths. They never leave us though and THAT's a promise of faith and personal experiences. God bless all of you in these dark days. Shine a light and be happy, as Jeffrey would WANT you to. We are not taking this lightly at all. We are still in shock as we JUST learned of this at 11:00 a.m., sharp. PLEASE, each of you, send your personal cell#s to our email [email protected] God bless you and and hope for some kind of Merry Christmas in each other. Be happy, glad to be alive and feel the spirit of Christmas (excluding the material things). It's there, if you want it to be. Honor Jeffrey and St and do what you'd have done
when each was with you at so many times. HUGS tight ones.

Dear Sharon and the boys,
I am so deeply sorry to here about Jeff ..
My condolences to all the Halls...I will never forget going camping with the Boy Scouts.. After figuring it was nearly impossible to pitch that damn tent Jeff came to my rescue and put it together with me and my boys. His reward was S'mores by the campfire.. Salt of the earth. Great Guy...

My sincerest condolences go out to Sharon and her boys as well as the entire Hall family. Jeffrey was one of the nicest and kindest guys I've ever known throughout my entire child and adult life. Truly one of the good ones. I'm glad that I got back to our high school reunion this summer to connect with him and catch up. May the peace of the lord be with him and all of you.
