Marion H. Whyte

AGE: 83 • Wall

Marion H. Whyte, 83, died Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Marion was born in Asbury Park, living there most of her youth. After marriage settling in Wall to raise a family. Marion with her husband, Harrison was a retired restaurant proprietor. They owned Whyte's Curb Service, Neptune for 30 years before selling it in 1975. After selling Whyte's, Marion worked for 15 years at Dunkin Donuts, Wall.

Marion was predeceased by her husband, Harrison D. Whyte, in 1984; her parents, Walter and Minnie Harris; a brother, Joseph Harris; a sister, Helen Schwartz; a son-in-law, Frank Brower; and a daughter-in-law, Nora Whyte. Surviving are her sons, Dwight and Ronda of Jackson, Michael of Eatontown, and Steven and Shannon of Brick; and a daughter, Susan and Bob, with whom she lived. Marion has five grandchildren, Tara, Frankie, Kymmee, Bryan, and Michelle; and three great-grandchildren, Gavin, Jayden, and a little girl due in July! Marion had two feline companions, Patchy and Baby that miss her dearly!

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 3 at the United Methodist Church in Manasquan on Church and South Street.
