AGE: 95 • Howell Twp.
Robert L. Baroska, age 95 of Howell Twp. passed away Tuesday, September 19 at his home. Bob was an upholsterer who owned and operated Asbury Auto Tops in Asbury Park for 48 years. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII and a recipient of the Purple Heart. Bob was a graduate of Asbury Park HS, a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Asbury Park and a former member of the BPO Elks #128 Asbury Park. Born in New York City, he lived in Asbury Park from 1928 till he moved to Howell Twp. in 1995.
Bob was predeceased by his wife Rae Aldarelli Baroska in 2000. Surviving are his 3 sons and spouses, Robert L. Jr. and Patricia Baroska of Howell, Ralph and Carolann Baroska of Howell and Richard Baroska of Neptune, a brother, Emil G. Baroska and wife Nancy of Brick, 4 grandchildren; Robert III and wife Kristin, Kristina Parkinson and husband Douglas, Brian Baroska and Mary Cate Baroska and a great-granddaughter Savannah Grace Baroska.
Visitation will be on Saturday morning from 8-9 am in Buckley Funeral Home 509 Second Ave. Asbury Park NJ 07712. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church Asbury Park on Saturday at 9:30 am. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Neptune. In lieu of flowers please donate to www.WoundedWarriorProject.org in his name. We are so sorry for the loss of such a wonderful man. I remember him always walking or speeding walking pass my Moms house or stopping by each house with his dog to mark his territory. Coming straight from Staten Island that was strange to us. But we came to love him and his dog. We will miss him trick or treating this year for Halloween. Every one of my 6 children will always remember him. He is back home with his beautiful wife and his precious dog. He will always be remembered. May you rest in peace Mr . baroska..you will live on through your grandchildren and great grandchild. Prayers go out to his family...XOXOXOXO
