Enrique "Rick" Castillo Gomez

1953 - 2017

Enrique "Rick" Castillo Gomez passed away peacefully on December 11th, 2017, at UC Davis Medical Center. He was born July 15th, 1953. He was a very devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. Rick was known for helping family and friends in every way he could. He always took time for his grandchildren and was a real "stand-up guy". Rick's hobbies included collecting and restoring old cars and trucks, old bicycles, gardening, walking and going to car shows and swap meets. His best times were spent in the back yard barbecuing with family and grandkids. Gomez was well known in Colusa County and will truly be missed by so many. Rick is preceded in death by his father, David Garcia-Gomez, his mother, Mercedes Castillo Gomez, sisters; Camerina Elguez and Eliza Perez Rodriguez, and his brothers; Manuel Gomez, David Gomez and Art Gomez. Rick is survived by his wife, Esther Garcia Gomez of Williams, daughter, Lisa (Jonathan) Gomez-Flowers of Oakland, sons; Michael (Michelle) Gomez of Colusa and Caesar (Leah) Gomez of Chico. Grandchildren; Sebastian Cowen, Karina and Gabriel Gomez and Julius, Malakai and Carlise Gomez. Visitations will be held, Wednesday, December 20th, 2017, at McNary Moore Funeral Home from 5pm – 8pm. Funeral services and pot luck will be held Thursday, December 21st, 2017, at the Assembly of God Church at 10am. Donations can be made under Enrique "Rick" Gomez Go Fund me in lieu of flowers.
