Vernon Long Obituary
Vernon "Bud" Long, Sioux Falls, SD, retired owner of Long Insurance Agency, passed away on April 28, 2016, at Touchmark. He was 91.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara "Bobbie" Long of nearly 69 years; and their children, Catherine (Brian) Sather, Richard (Laura) Long, and Debra (Michael) Cota; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Kneip; sisters-in-law, Helen Munce, Alice Long; and brother-in-law and best friend, Ken Munce. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, and two brothers
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Monday, May 2, 2016, at First Lutheran Church, with interment at Hills of Rest Cemetery. The family will be present to greet friends from 2:00 to 4:00 Sunday afternoon at Miller Funeral Home, 507 S. Main Avenue.
Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Barbara and family. We met Vernon and Barb through Larry and Bev Alexander. We enjoyed seeing them when visiting Larry and Bev over the years. Vernon, Larry and Roger enjoyed several rounds of golf.
