Edna Yinger Obituary

NELSONVILLE - Edna W. Yinger, 72, of Nelsonville, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at her residence. Born June 10, 1945, in Logan, she was the daughter of the late George "Dewey" and Audra Deible Howdyshell. She was married for 52 years to Jerry W. Yinger, who survives.
She worked at Goodyear in Logan for 24 years, Hocking College for 10 years, and Dalton's Driving School for 10 years. Edna formerly attended Hocking Hills United Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband, Jerry, she is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Leslie Yinger of Nelsonville; daughter, Tammy Yinger Ogg of Nelsonville; daughter-in-law, Kathy Yinger of Nelsonville; grandchildren, Brittany and Jacob Mohney, Audra and Christopher Yinger, and Kaylie, Colt and Collin Yinger; great-grandchildren, Layne, Macie, Xavier and Eulijah; brother, Dale (Lorraine) Howdyshell of Logan; sisters, Betty Keiffer and Norma (Bill) Palmer, both of Logan, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Steven Mark Yinger; brothers, Charles, Walter "Tate" and Roger Howdyshell; and a sister, Ruth Nice.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville, with Pastor David Shoemaker officiating. Interment will be in New Fairview Memorial Gardens, Rockbridge. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday from 4-8 p.m.
