TUCKER, Arthur Homegoing services for Mr. Arthur James Tucker, Jr. of Decatur, GA will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2010, 1:00 P.M. at the East Lake United Methodist Church, 2500 Hosea L. Williams Drive, Atlanta, GA with remains placed in state at 11:00 A.M. The Reverend Jesse Gary Gordon, Pastor/Officiating. Interment, Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Decatur, GA. The family will receive friends in our chapel this evening from 6:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. Arthur leaves his cherished memory in the hearts of the love of his life, wife, Gwendolyn R. Tucker; son, Derek Tucker; granddaughter, Cherika Sales; grandson, Kylee S. Tucker; daughter-in-law, Mendee Hunt-Tucker; great-grandson, Timothy Berry, Jr.; god-children, Kendon and Joi Townsel; sisters, Barbara Jean Canady (Michael), Loretta D. Reece and Delores Hayes; brothers, Benjamin Tucker, Melvin Tucker (Diane) and Johnny Tucker (Jacqueline); mother-in-law, Freddie Murphy Reese; four brothers-in-law; three sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Family and friends are asked to assemble at 2679 Kings Park Circle, Decatur, GA 30034 on the day of the service at 12:00 Noon: Donald Trimble Mortuary, Inc., 1876 Second Avenue, Decatur, GA. 404-371-0772-3

To The Tucker Family,
Our families, THE REESE'S and THE TUCKER'S, have been together for a long time and with God's help we will all get through this difficult time together. Arthur was one of my best brother-in-laws and I will truly miss him. He is now with his Mother & Father and his beloved son, Thalmus. We all are sadden but the Bible says: "Weeping may endureth for a night, but JOY comes in the morning. We are strong families and we will continue to trust in God and lean on HIS understanding. Remember FAMILIES THAT PRAY TOGETHER STAY TOGETHER!!!!!

I wish to express my condolences to the Tucker Family. Arthur was a free sprit who loved life and children. He was an authentic friend to many people. He had a great heart and was very sensitive to other people's feelings. My family and I will miss him.
