Bobbielu Lupo Woodward

WOODWARD, Bobbielu Bobbielu Lupo Woodward, wife of John H. Woodward, died at home on Monday, October 26, 2015. Bobbielu was born in Columbia, SC on August 13, 1927 to Dr. James Foster Lupo and Ellie Traynham Lupo. She graduated from Spartanburg High School in 1944 and Lander College in Greenwood, SC in 1948 with a degree. Bobbielu was married in Greenwood in 1953 to Johnny Woodward of Charleston, SC. After college, her life, prior to retirement, was devoted to doing what she felt she was called to, help others. She worked as a case worker for the Department of Social Services in Greenwood, Spartanburg and Florence and opened the Gwinnett Aging Center in Lawrenceville, GA. Bobbielu was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution in South Carolina and held various official positions in the United Methodist Women of Gwinnett County Georgia. She was a member of Mountain Park United Methodist Church and the Sunshine Sunday School Class. Mrs. Woodward was preceded in death by her daughter Susan Christine Woodward Hagin and son John Henry Woodward, Jr. Survivors include her husband John Henry Woodward, Sr., daughter Patricia Walker Woodward Wood and husband Shane Michael Wood, granddaughter Kayla Marie Woodward, grandsons John Michael Woodward and Shane Michael Wood and several great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5-8pm on Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at Eternal Hills Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11:00am on Thursday, October 29, 2015, at Mountain Park United Methodist Church, 1405 Rockbridge Rd., Stone Mountain, GA 30087.
