I am so sad to hear that we lost Ernie. He was a kind, inspiring man and a dear friend of my husband, Bill, for 70+years. He even traveled to NH to visit us often, even recently. We both loved him I believe Ernie and Bill and now playing baseball together on a team with very long innings

Lynne and family, so sorry to learn of your Dad's passing. He shared first name and birthday, September 1st as my late husband.
I remember when we were in Atlanta many years ago we got together with you and visited your parents in their home. Fond memory, and memories will sustain you now. Love and prayers, Joy

We loved him the first time we met him at a SUMC gathering! His smile was infectious and inspired friendship. So sorry we didn’t know him for a longer time. We joined SUMC in 2011 and we were in the same Sunday School class.
Sincere condolences to his family

Ernie was like a second father to me. I do remember vividly conversations about the Braves, politics, and life in general. I will miss him very much. He was a good man and held to his convictions and still remained the most considerate man you'll ever meet. Heaven is a brighter place with him there.
