Family-Placed Death Notice

LIVINGSTON, Ila Mrs. Ila Dean Livingston, age 90, of Carrollton Manor, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2011. She was born October 20, 1920 in Roopville, Georgia the daughter of the late William Parks Dean and Ophelia Smith Dean. Mrs. Livingston retired from The Veterans Administration after many years of service and was a Baptist by faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie R. Livingston; her sisters, Clyde Martin, Opal Kramer and Loyce Talley; and her brother, William Irving Dean. Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Janice & Clint Boyd of Jonesboro; son and daughter in law, Mike & Debbie Livingston of Canton, Ga.; sister in law, Thelma Dean; also surviving 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 11 AM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Dr. J. Howard Cobble officiating. Entombment will follow in Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 10 AM until the funeral hour. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Autumn Square, 2455 Oak Grove Church Rd., Carrollton, Ga., 30117.
