John was a magnificent man, athlete, person, and Catholic. He really inculcated the Christen faith in all he did. He was admired, while at Holy Cross, not only for his physical prowess but also for the kind way he treated everyone. I remember well how we were usually the last people eating supper at Kimball after everyone had finished. We just ate so much. It is a sad day for everyone who knew him that he has gone to his special place in heaven.

Although I live hundreds of miles away in NY, I am always close in spirit. I was a student of your lovely, gracious wife, Lori back in school and was so blessed to see you a year or so ago. What a wonderful family you have and I know you will forever shine above us all. Much love. Susan Willard.

Our condolences to you on the loss of a very special husband, father and grandfather. He was a wonderful man. I will always remember his humility, his love for his family and the grace with which he handled his illnesses. May happy memories bring you comfort today and in the days ahead. With sympathy and love to all of you.
