AMESBURY — Margaret "June" Jennell, 70, of Union Street, passed away suddenly on Monday, March 9, 2009 at the Mass General Hospital in Boston. She was the wife of John D. Jennell.
Born in Amesbury on June 2, 1938, she was the daughter of the late John and Ferolyn (Worthen) Justin. A lifelong Amesbury resident, she worked 30 years at Berkshire MFG in Newburyport as a press operator.
As a young girl, she was a member of the St. Joseph's Drill Team, and would later play an active part in the former Medallion's Drill Team of Amesbury. She was an active member of Holy Family Parish, volunteering for many parish functions and was a member of the St. Anne's Sodality.
She enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, bowling, and enjoyed traveling so much that she and her husband started a group known as J&J Tours. She mostly loved spending time with her family and she will be sadly missed by them.
Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Jay Jennell and wife Christine of Fremont, N.H., one late son, John Jennell and his wife Kathryn Jennell of Phillips Ranch, Calif., three daughters, Paula Bonan and husband James of Sandown, N.H., Charlene Macdonald and husband Steven of Hampton, N.H., and Barbara Tudisco and husband James of Haverhill, two brothers, George Justin and wife Rochelle of Chichester, N.H. and Owen Justin and wife Stella of Plaistow, N.H., five sisters, Jean Ballard, Sis Harris and husband Melvin, Rosie Dragon, and Judy Belanger and husband Richard, all of Amesbury, and Carol Pettis and husband James of Farmington, N.H., 11 grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 14, at 10 a.m. in the St. Joseph's Church of Holy Family Parish with a reception to follow in the parish hall. Burial will be in the spring. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the upper church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to the Holy Family Parish Building Fund, 6 Allen's Ct., Amesbury, MA 01913. Arrangements are by the E.V. John,
There are no words that can convey what June's loss means. You were a great couple for over 50 years. She is and always will be my sister-in-law and I loved her. No matter how long we were apart when we would get together it was like no time had passed at all and we just picked up from there. I remember all our fun times over the years and more recently in Florida. My prayers and thoughts are with you and the kids. Love

Dear Jennell Family:
I was saddened to read of your Mom's passing. Some of my lasting memories of my childhood in Amesbury was the Medallions; and it would not have happened without Mr. and Mrs. Jennell and their devotion to running the team. I think of it often, even now. May you find comfort and peace through family and friends!

We will miss her greatly. She is now with Johnny and they are both watching over everyone. I have many happy memories of us camping together when I was a child, as well, as everyone being together the night before Thansgiving. I am sorry I can not be there for her service but I send my thoughts and prayers and love to everyone.
