SCHILLING, Paul PAUL JOSEPH SCHILLING Paul Joseph Schilling of Stone Mountain, Georgia died September 29, 2008 of cancer at the age of 87. He was born the son of John E. Schilling and Clara K. Schilling in Larned, Kansas. During W.W. II he served in the U.S. Navy aboard the escort carrier U.S. Grisswald DE7. He graduated from the University of Kansas class of 1949 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Until his retirement in 1985 he was employed for 34 years by General Motors, retiring as Director of Engineering at the Doraville Assembly Plant. Survived by his wife of 58 years, Doris Miner Schilling; daughters, Jane Schilling Wilson and her husband Michael, Nancy Shilling Wilson and her husband Danny; sons, Steven P. Schilling and his wife Lee, and David K. Schilling and his wife Addy; preceded in death by his son Larry T. Schilling. Also survived by 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Roswell Funeral Home with Deacon Lloyd Sutter officiating. Entombment will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
