Dorothy Cade Obituary

Celebration of Life
Dorothy Elaine Cade, daughter of Glen Ward and Fanny Hilda Hansen Andersen.
She was born on Dec. 26, 1941 in Cass County near Atlanta. She entered into eternal rest after a short illness on Sept. 19, 2013 at Flair Manor in Woodland Hills, Calif. at the age of 71. Dorothy graduated from Atlantic High School in 1959 and received her Bachelor of Science degree from Northwest Missouri State College and a Master's Degree in Education from the University of Missouri in 1967. She was a business teacher in Savanna, Ill. and the Los Angeles School system for several years. On June 19, 1968, Dorothy was united in marriage to John Richard Cade in Atlantic. They made their home in Simi Valley, Calif. She enjoyed reading, yoga, Danish language classes, being with family on special occasions, meditation and solitude.
She is survived by Husband: John Richard Cade, Simi Valley, Calif.; Sister: Betty Elwell, Ardmore, Okla.; two nephews:Ethan Elwell and Jeremy Elwell; one niece: Angela Sanders;
four cousins; two great nephews; two great nieces;
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters; Ruth West and Anna Roberg and brother in-laws; Dale West, Bill Roberg and Read Elwell.
Memorial service will be at the Mannsville Cemetery, Mannsville, Okla. at a later date.

I'm so sorry to learn about the death of Dorothy. She was in my confirmation class and also my high school class. She was always so sweet and quiet..and a good friend to many. I have many fond memories of her. May you all find comfort in knowing that she led a good life and is with our Lord now.
