Betty Babcock Obituary

Betty Jacqueline
Langdon Babcock
OCEAN ISLE -- Mrs. Babcock, 70, of Northwinds Drive SW, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, March 18, 2009, following a six year battle with ovarian cancer.
She was born on April 14, 1938, in Johnston County, NC, to the late Archie and Alice Stephenson Langdon.
Surviving are her husband, Bernie; three children, Terri Morris, and husband, Alan, Patricia Summer, and husband, Summer, and Archie Babcock, all of Charlotte, five grandchildren, Taylor Morris, Lauren, Adam, Jacob, and Jessica Summer; brother, Louis Langdon, Fuquay Varina, NC; sisters, Phyllis Dark, of Ocean Isle Beach, and Vickie Grove, Raleigh, NC.
A Celebration of Life was conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 21, 2009, in the Brunswick Funeral Service Chapel by Reverend Richard Vaughn and Hospice Chaplain David Kelly. Family received friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Jackie was an inspiration to everyone who knew her and those meeting her for the first time. She exemplified true dignity and grace. Her main concern was always for other, never herself. She never felt pity or anger. She lived everyday as a blessing and often quoted 'Life is good!' She enjoyed her friends, which were many and she knew she was loved by each of them. She was a loving wife, mother, and nana.
She taught her children to never give up and the importance of family. She was loved dearly by her grandchildren.
