Bobby Kelly Obituary

Agent for State Farm Insurance Company CLEARWATER, S.C. - Entered into rest on Monday, June 9, 2003, Mr. Bobby Dock Kelly Sr., age 74, husband of Mrs. Lou Watkins Kelly, of Morningside Drive, Clearwater. He was preceded in death by his mother Thelma Adams Kelly, granddaughter Brittany Elyse Maroney, a sister June King and an aunt Lucille Tabor. Surviving are four children and their spouses, Kay and Ronnie Young, of Lithia Springs, Susan Sullivan of Evans, Bobby Kelly Jr. and Julie Whittle Kelly of Myrtle Beach, and Julie and Milton Maroney, of Clearwater; three brothers, Charles Tabor of Clearwater, Harold Tabor of Belvedere, and Don Tabor of Trenton; 12 grandchildren, Mark Young, Kelly Lively, Ron Young Jr., Jesse Young, Samantha Gerow, Vanessa Greene, Katy Sullivan, Rainne Sullivan, Trey Kelly, Courtney Kelly, Zachary Maroney and Dylan Maroney; eight great grandchildren. Mr. Kelly was born on August 17, 1928 in Anderson. He was an agent with State Farm Insurance Company for 49 years. He was a member of the Langley United Methodist Church, a former South Carolina House of Representative from 1964 to 1966 and a past president of both the L.B.C. Lions Club and the L.B.C. Jaycees. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 3 p.m. in the Hatcher Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Alan Faulkner and Rev. Frank Copeland officiating. Interment in Sunset Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be his grandsons; Mark Young, Ron Young, Jesse Young, Todd Greene, Trey Kelly, Zachary Maroney and Dylan Maroney. Memorials to The Midland Valley Recreation Association, P.O. Dear Family, I have only had my business with State Farm for a few years now, and I knew Mr. Kelly through my wife Sabrina Altman (Roberts) but everytime I have seen Mr. Kelly in the office he was a very gentle natured man. My Family and I will greatly miss him and may our prayers be with you.

I just wanted to tell the family of Mr. Kelly's that I work in CVS Pharmacy in Clearwater and I enjoyed his visits. He was always friendly and sweet to all of us. He will be missed a great deal and our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
