Dorothy Briscoe Obituary

Homemaker AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Dorothy G. Briscoe, wife of the late Rufus J. Briscoe, Sr., entered into rest on Tuesday, March 10, 2008 at Trinity Hospital. Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 16, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Ebenezer Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor Ronald J. Wright, Sr., and Elder Clinton Jones officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Olive Memorial Garden. Mrs. Briscoe, a native of Augusta, was a member of Ebenezer Seventh Day Adventist Church. Survivors are six sons, Rufus (Georgia M.) Briscoe, Jr., James (Theresa) Briscoe, Lannis (Marie) Briscoe, Augusta, Rickey (Lavern) Briscoe, Willie Daniel Briscoe, Curtis (Kimra) Briscoe, Atlanta, Ga.; four daughters, Veronica (Marion) Stokes, Agnes (Larry) Butler, Yvette (Donnie) Ferrell, Edith L. Briscoe, Augusta; thirty nine grandchildren; thirty eight great grandchildren; and other relatives. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. this evening at the funeral home.
