Janet Ziemba Obituary
Mrs. Ziemba was a native of Kyoto, Japan but lived in Augusta since 1967. She was very active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mrs. Ziemba enjoyed bowling, line dancing and walking in the mall.
Family members include daughters: Jean Hooper and Ann Ziemba both of Columbia, SC; son: Michael Ziemba and wife Lynn of Anderson, SC; and grandchildren: Gregory Magnuson of Oakland, CA, Elizabeth Magnuson of Chattanooga, TN, Michael A. Ziemba, Jr. of Macon, GA ; Alexandrea Ziemba of Anderson, SC; and Allison Nestor of Aiken, SC. She is also survived by her brother, Toshio Haikata and sister, Michiko Haikata of Kyoto, Japan.
A Christian Mass of Resurrection will be Monday, February 13, 2017, 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Mark Van Alstine, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2607 Lumpkin Road, Augusta, GA 30906.
A Holy Rosary will be recited Sunday afternoon at 2:00 P.M. then the family will receive friends from 2:30 until 4:00 P.M. at Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors, 214 Davis Rd., Augusta, GA 30907 (706) 364-8484. Please sign the guestbook at www.thomaspoteet.com

I truly enjoyed the years i spent doing lawncare for janet. My best memory is when she invited me in for homemade fried rice, it was wonderful.
