Luther E. Hall Sr.

Retired GA Railroad AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at Trinity Hospital, Mr. Luther E. Hall, Sr., 92, husband of Dorothy K. Hall. Mr. Hall was a native of Emanuel Co., GA, but lived most of his life in Augusta. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during WWII and a retired switch engineer foreman for the Georgia Railroad for 40 years. Mr. Hall was a member of Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church. Family members in addition to his wife include his sons and daughters-in-law: Luther E. Hall, Jr. and Laura of Chillicothe, TX, J. Ray Hall and Suzanne of Augusta; grandchildren: Marcy H. Fleming, Sean L. Hall, Marcus K. Hall and 5 great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 17, 2009 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Dr. Dan Brown and Rev. Greg Hatfield officiating. Pallbearers will be Mike Moxley, Bill Smith, Mike Fleming, Jimmy Pearre, Charles Howell, and Jack Lovett. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
