Marjorie D. Thomas

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Marjorie D. Thomas, age 92, of Hephzibah, Ga., entered into rest Thursday, October 19, 2006 at Doctors Hospital. Mrs. Thomas was a native of McKenzie, Alabama and had lived in Hephzibah since 1943. She was the wife of the late J.C. Thomas who died in 1980. She was a member of the Reorganized Church of the Latter Day Saints and was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving as a nurse during WWII. Mrs. Thomas retired from Gracewood State School and Hospital where she was a registered nurse. Family members include her daughters Carolyn Peters of Gainesville, Fl., and Ruth T. Mobley of Hephzibah, Ga., grandsons Scott L. Peters of Gainesville, Fl., Ty Mobley and Wyatt Mobley, both of Hephzibah, Ga., and a great granddaughter Brittany M. Peters. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, October 21, 2006 at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Rev. Jim Hyder officiating.
