Rachel Evans Obituary
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 15, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Sutphin officiating.
Mrs. Evans was a native of Richmond County, but had lived in Harlem for many years. She was a retired seamstress.
Survivors include her two daughters, Tammye Pope and Amanda Story, both of Augusta; her son, Mark Murphy, Harlem; two brothers, Walter Powell Jr., Harlem and Wayne Powell, Tenn.; three sisters, Sandra Jones, Linda Blackwelder, and Lucille Hammond; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren: and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Curtis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services on Saturday.
