Mildred K. "Millie" Wolsfeld

1923 - 2018

Mildred "Millie" K. Wolsfeld, age 94, of Yorkville, IL, passed away on June 10, 2018 at her home in Yorkville, IL. She was born on October 30, 1923 in Naperville, IL, the daughter of Andrew and Helen (Kammes) Brummel. Millie was united in marriage on February 15, 1946 to Robert Wolsfeld and they spent to next 60 happy years of their lives together until his passing on December 21, 2007. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Yorkville, IL. Mrs. Wolsfeld was a former member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Earlville, IL. She was a volunteer at Mercy Hospital in Aurora, IL for 17 years. Millie was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her daughters, Carol (William) Ferrigan of Eagle, MI, Cynthia Wolsfeld of St. Escobille, France, and Cathy Wolsfeld of Aurora, IL; her dear grandchildren, Nikki Desuvier of France and Veronika Desuvier of France; five special grandchildren, Jennifer, Allison, Marcy, Gary, and Brandon Watson all of Michigan; her "adopted daughter" Mae Mooris of Eden Prairie, MN; her brother Irvin (Sandy) Brummel of Geneva, IL; her sisters, Geraldine Klenda of Denver, CO, Janice (Sal) Ferreri of Scottsdale, AZ; and her sisters-in-law, Jean Brummel of Elkhorn, WI, Rita Brummel of Millbrook, IL, and Dolly Steinhouse of Elgin, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Helen Brummel; her husband, Robert Wolsfeld; and her 8 siblings, Edith (Vince) Stark, Marie (Melvin) White, Dorothy (Leroy) White, Pauline (Dean) Muehfelt, Norman Brummel, Floyd Brummel, Arthur Brummel, and Gerald Brummel. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 406 Walnut, Yorkville, IL with Father Matthew Lamoureux, M.I.C. officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Theresa Catholic Cemetery in Earlville, IL. Friends may visit from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, June 15, 2018 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 1617 N. Bridge St., Yorkville, IL.
