William C. Lindoo

William C. Lindoo William C. Lindoo, 88, of Aurora, passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2010. He was born on November 18, 1921 in Aurora, the son of the late Rodney W. and Ann A. (Gierden) Lindoo. William worked as a heating and refrigeration engineer for Illinois Supply Company for 35 years in which he received the nickname "Lindy" and followed him to Central Furnace Electric in Naperville and finally to Artlip and Sons in Aurora. He was a member of the Sons of Norway, Faith Lutheran Church (formerly Redeemer Lutheran Church) and the Young at Heart Club. William is survived by his sons, William (Rhonda) Lindoo Jr. of Big Rock and Robert (Janis) Lindoo of Aurora; grandchildren, Joshua, Christopher, Anna, Nathanael, Laura and William; great-grandsons, Nico and Diego Perez; brother, Robert (Elaine) Lindoo of Aurora. Along with his parents, William was preceded in death by his wife Iva "Tommy" Lindoo. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2010 from 4 PM 7 PM at The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Pl., Aurora, IL 60506. Lying in State will be held from 9:30 AM until time of service at 10 AM on Friday, August 20, 2010 at Faith Lutheran Church 3000 Liberty St., Aurora, IL 60502. Burial will take place at Lincoln Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church or charity of one's choice.
