Harold Witzke Obituary

Witzke, Harold H.
Harold H. Witzke, of Glendale, died Friday evening, December 5, 2014 while a resident at The Forum at Desert Harbor in Peoria. He was 85 years old. Harold and his wife Martha moved their family to Arizona from Hooker, Oklahoma in 1960, to embark on what would be a thirty-five year banking career, beginning with First National Bank, then United Bank, and finally, Citi. He served as branch manager for First National in both Phoenix and Casa Grande; later as a loan officer and assistant vice-president for United and Citi, respectively, retiring in 1994. Harold was deeply committed to Phoenix First Church of the Nazarene, singing in the choir and serving as treasurer for nearly thirty years. His second wife, Lynn, also served the church faithfully, and together they were an integral part of its ministry. Lynn preceded Harold in death in 2012. He is survived by two children and their spouses (from his first marriage), along with three grandchildren: Ron and Jan Witzke (Aaron and Michaela) of Liberty, Missouri; and Harold and Carol Davis (Christopher), of Monument, Colorado. Condolences, flowers, etc., can be sent directly to Phoenix First Church of the Nazarene, 19201 N. 7th Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85027, where a memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 27, 2014. Harold's remains will be interred at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek, Phoenix. Please visit www.hansenmortuary.com for online condolences.
