Henry W. Parra, a man with a warm, generous heart and a smile bigger than life left us all too soon on January 3, 2016. He was born in Deming, NM on March 28, 1947. After college at NMSU, he worked his way to Phoenix. With his colleagues, he built a successful construction company. He left behind his wife, Susan; daughter, Erica; and beloved chiweenies. He was preceded in death by his son, Alec. Visitation is from 4:00-7:00 PM, followed by a Memorial at 7:00 PM, Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Hansen Chapel, 8314 N. 7th Street, Phoenix 85020. My heart is saddened upon learning if Henry's passing. Growing and attending the same schools together, playing sports for the same high school and graduating together in 1965. He was in essence, one of my great friends, even though our lives went in separate directions. His smile reflected his character as to the type of person he was. Certainly he will be missed bybhis entire family and those that knew him well....May you rest in peace, my friend...

To Henry's family: I am so sorry to learn of his passing. Henry and I grew up in Deming. We graduated the same year. We played sports together. What a tough competitor he was and all around great man. I accompany you in your sorrow.

I remember Henry's trips to Picton, Ontario ' Canada , we always looked forward to him and his family coming. The last visit my mom was sick and she called them and said - you have to come now, and the wonderful people they are, they came right away. They picked up Uncle Russel in Cornwall and brought him to see his sister (my mom ) who was in the hospital. We enjoyed going through photo albums and telling stories of days gone by, lots of smiling and laughter (which was contagious with Henry present). Hugs to Heaven
