Mavis Reynolds Obituary

Reynolds, Mavis L.
94, of Mesa Arizona passed away on March 9, 2013. On March 9th, 2013 Mavis L. Reynolds woke up in heaven, where she met her Savior face to face and all of her loved ones that have gone on before her. Mavis was born in Mesa, Arizona, February 25, 1919. She attended first grade through high school there. After graduating she attended Gregg Shorthand School. Soon after completing her courses she joined the U. S. Navy, Waves, where she was a secretary during World War II. After receiving an honorable discharge, she worked for the Forest Service. There she met her beloved husband Reginald Reynolds. They lived at various U.S. Forest Ranger stations in Arizona before retirement. Mavis was a member of the Southern Baptist Church. She is survived by her step-children, Claire "Junie" Bouten (Jim), Jeanna Kuhlman (Gordon), Marcia Porter, Lee Reynolds (Rosanne), and Rosalyn Dawkins; Her nieces, Martha Horn (Ron), Linda Warren (Richard), Jan Swan, her nephews, Les Nesmith (Sue), Sam Jackson (Pat) and sister-in-law Darlene Jackson. She was preceded in death by her husband Reginald Reynolds, parents Ally and Nina Jackson, sister Gertrude Nesmith, brothers Raymond and Sam Jackson, and step son Paul Reynolds. There will be a short graveside service on Saturday 3-16-13 11am at Heritage
Memorial Park, 12000 E Heritage Memorial Lane. Dewey, Az 86327. A Memorial Service is planned for 2 pm on 3-21-13 at LifeStream Senior Living Chapel, 11527 W Peoria Ave. Youngtown, Az 85363. The family requests donations to: Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, Az 85014-5656.
