Reverend Otis C. Jackson, Jr. was born in Phoenix, Arizona October 29,
1938 to the union of Otis Jackson, Sr. and Lavenia Gray. Reverend Jackson obtained his education at the Booker T. Washington Elementary School in Phoenix, Arizona and Manuel Arts High School in Los Angeles, California. Otis worked 35 years for the Maricopa County Department of Transportation, where he retired as a supervisor. On December 9, 1962 he met and married Mary Dean Ellis. On September 30, 1979 Otis was licensed to preach the gospel. He was Pastor of the Pilgrim Star Baptist Church in Safford, Arizona for 20 years. Jackson's heart to build and organize the Mountain Top Baptist Church in Phoenix. On July 11, 2000 he was installed as Pastor of Mountain Top Baptist Church. As Pastor he showed loved to his members, as well as any one he came in contact with. On July 16, 2005, Pastor Jackson exchanged mortality for immortality when he was ushered into the kingdom of Heaven. He leaves to cherish his memories; his loving wife Mary Dean Jackson; his mother Lavenia Brown; four sons; Clifford Ellis (Lottie), Perry Jackson (Leana), Victor Jackson (Colleen) all of Phoenix, Arizona, Jeffrey Jackson (Shirdawn) of Los Angeles, California.
