Sister Rosemary Babbitt, IHM, passed away peacefully on November 5th, 2021 at the age of 95. Sister Rosemary's family and friends are celebrating the love, service and joy that " Rosie" brought to her family and community. She joins her family in Heaven including her parents, Raymond and Rose Marie Babbitt, part of the Babbitt legacy in Northern Arizona with her roots in Flagstaff, AZ, her twin sister, Catherine Ramsey, brothers William, Ted and Jim and youngest sister Margie. She devoted her life to supporting the community including serving as the Principal of the Blessed Sacrament, (San Diego), St. John the Evangelist (Encinitas), St. Michael's (San Diego) and St. John of the Cross (Lemon Grove). Sister Rosemary was "Aunt Rosie" to her 26 nieces and nephews who loved her visits to their family homes and spending time with her in Flagstaff and San Diego over the years. Aunt Rosie always had a twinkle in her eye and encouraged us to be intelligent, kind, and consider those who are less fortunate, through both her living example and loving support. All are invited to join a celebratory mass on Dec. 3, 2021 at 10:00 at Mission San Diego de Alcala, 10818 San Diego Mission Rd. San Diego,CA 92108.
